The South African women’s team has opened up their accounts for the multi-format tour of the Indian team. The Proteas lost the three matches of the ODI series by 0-3 and a one-off Test match. However, they have started the three matches of the T20I series with a magnificent win, but the second game, which took place on July 7, was halted due to rain after Proteas batting. The visiting side currently has a 1-0 lead in the series over Team India women.
Notably, both sides are set to face off in the third and final T20I game of the series, which is slated to take place on July 9 at the MA Chidambaram Cricket Stadium in Chennai. The visiting side has a great chance to win this match and seal the series with a whitewash over the hosts. However, Harmanpreet Kaur-led India women will be looking to bounce back and level up the series after suffering a terrible loss.
