New Zealand will be up against the Netherlands in the 6th match of the ICC Cricket World Cup at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on October 9. New Zealand started their journey on a fantastic note, winning their first match by a huge margin, while the Netherlands played some good cricket at times but failed to make the most of it and lost the match.
New Zealand squared off against England in their last match, where New Zealand won the toss and elected to field. England started decently with the opening stand of 40 runs, but after they lost the first wicket, they kept losing one after the other. It wasn’t until the fifth wicket that they got some decent partnership. Several batters got starts, but none of them capitalised, resulting in a total of 282. In reply, New Zealand lost their first wicket early, but what happened later was a complete carnage of the ball. They did not lose a single wicket after-on, with both the batters scoring their centuries and winning the match by nine wickets in a bossing manner with almost 14 overs still in the bank.
